Within a six month time frame with one principal engineer, FS Studio surveyed research in dialogue management, conversational agents, robotics, and information retrieval and
developed a working prototype that was fully voice-enabled, and operating in an client-server-cloud configuration.
Two critical contributions were made by FS Studio. The first was identifying a means to support both scripted (guided) interactions alongside ad-hoc unscripted interactions.
