We developed a custom library that performed facial feature detection and performed face morphing and image merging.
PROCESS
The client asked us to create an app that would take a photo of an individual and morph them into an animal. We worked with the client to source the animals we would use, create the feature dataset to properly map the human face to the animal face. We also developed the morphing algorithm to perform this. We also worked with the client to develop the entire app as well. This started with wireframing, through design comps, to development
RESULT
In order to satisfy the cross-platform requirement from the client we created a cross platform library that could return a morphed image from a source image with feature data file and a photo taken from the camera and detected features. This library was incorporated into a beautiful app that we designed which included in-app purchasing for additional animals.
